We know CE marking and document compliance don’t have quite the same excitement as seeing our machines at work, but having the correct paperwork is what actually enables us to support you properly. With the right documentation in place, we can keep your equipment compliant, safe, and operating exactly as it should. It may not be glamorous, but it’s essential - and it helps us help you.

NOTICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS – CE MARKING & DOCUMENTATION COMPLIANCE
Autoguide Ltd would like to draw your attention to important compliance requirements relating to CE marking, equipment data plates, and operating manuals supplied with our products.
All Autoguide equipment is CE-marked and issued with an official Declaration of Conformity, confirming compliance with the relevant directives and standards. The CE marking and data plate identify Autoguide Ltd as the legal manufacturer and provide essential information, including the equipment’s unique serial number, build specification, and traceability.
To ensure continued compliance and to avoid unintended changes in legal responsibility, we remind customers of the following regulatory considerations:
CE Data Plates
Under CE regulations, if a CE data plate is removed, altered, or replaced, the party making those changes may be regarded as the manufacturer of the equipment. This carries specific obligations, including conducting conformity assessments, maintaining technical files, and issuing an updated Declaration of Conformity. Additionally, altering or removing the data plate may affect warranty and product support, as Autoguide Ltd may no longer be able to verify the identity or configuration of the equipment.
Operating Manuals & Documentation
We have become aware that, in general industry practice, operating manuals are sometimes reformatted or re-issued under alternative branding. Customers are reminded that rebranding or modifying Autoguide manuals may also be interpreted under CE regulations as assuming the role and responsibilities of the manufacturer. To maintain compliance and ensure that instructions remain accurate, up to date, and fully approved, we recommend that customers always supply and use the official Autoguide manuals provided with the equipment.
Recommendations for Compliance
To support ongoing regulatory compliance and warranty coverage, Autoguide Ltd strongly advises that:
The original CE data plate remains fitted, intact, and unaltered for the lifetime of the machine.
The official Autoguide operating manuals are used in their original format without rebranding or modification.
If you have any questions regarding CE requirements, documentation, or equipment support, please contact our team, who will be happy to assist.
