Mobile Service Engineer
Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being out in the field? Autoguide Equipment is looking for a Mobile Service Engineer to join our team, delivering expert servicing, maintenance, and repairs on our British-manufactured machinery. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role where every day brings a new challenge, from diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensuring equipment performs at its very best. Purpose of the Role: To provide high-quality onsite and workshop-based service and support to customers of Autoguide Equipment, ensuring products are maintained, repaired and presented to the highest standard. Main Duties: - Carrying out repairs and service work both onsite and in the workshop on the company’s portfolio of British Manufactured products. - Dealing face to face with clients from the agricultural, construction, utilities, telecommunication and ground care industries - Working with pneumatic, hydraulics, electrics and mechanical aspects of products - Test and fault find when required showing attention to detail to ensure that nothing is missed which would otherwise cause the units to fail inspection and test - Assemble/clean components ready for dispatch completing PDI sheets - Complete Job sheets to a high standard from repair description to parts used - Make sure Service vehicle is clean and presentable at all times and stocked with fast moving parts Working With: Sales Manager to enable smooth running of the aftersales operation of the business. Stores/Yard Operative
Autoguide Equipment Ltd is looking for a reliable and organised Stores / Yard Operative to support the day-to-day running of our stores and yard areas. Working closely with the Stores Manager, the role will involve receiving, checking, storing, picking, packing, and issuing parts, materials, anchors, and products for production, service, and dispatch. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate stock records, support stock counts, report shortages or damaged items, and keep the stores, warehouse, and yard areas clean, safe, and well organised. The role will also involve loading and unloading vehicles, moving materials around site, picking anchors from the yard, and operating forklift trucks safely. Some duties will be carried out outside in all weather conditions. Main Duties: •Receive, check, unload, and store deliveries. •Pick, pack, and issue stock for production, service, and dispatch. •Pick anchors and other materials from the yard. •Keep stock locations and records accurate. •Assist with stock counts and inventory checks. •Report shortages, damaged stock, or discrepancies. •Operate forklift trucks safely. •Load and unload vehicles when required. •Keep the stores, warehouse, and yard areas clean, tidy, and safe. •Work outside when required in all weather conditions. •Follow company health and safety procedures. Required Experience: •Previous stores, yard, warehouse, or stock control experience. •Valid forklift truck license/certification. •Experience using stock systems or ERP systems would be an advantage. •Basic understanding of warehouse, yard, and manual handling safety. Personal Qualities: The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, accurate, practical, and willing to work both indoors and outdoors. They must have good attention to detail, a positive attitude, and be able to work well as part of a team.
Production Welder
Autoguide Equipment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Welder Fabricator to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication and welding of high-quality engineered products, working from engineering drawings and job specifications to produce accurate, strong, and reliable assemblies. The role will involve using a range of welding and fabrication processes, including MIG and TIG welding, along with cutting, grinding, drilling, forming, fitting, and general workshop fabrication duties. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a good eye for detail, and can work safely and efficiently as part of a busy manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be confident working with mild steel and other engineering materials, able to follow procedures, maintain good quality standards, and contribute to the continued production of robust equipment used across agricultural, construction, and specialist machinery sectors. Key Responsibilities – Welder Fabricator •Interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical specifications and weld symbols (e.g. BS EN 2553) •Carry out MIG welding to a high standard on mild steel components in various positions. (TIG/MMA advantageous where required) •Fabricate and assemble components using jigs, fixtures and manual measuring equipment •Perform cutting, drilling, grinding, and preparation of materials prior to welding •Ensure all welds meet quality standards and acceptance criteria (e.g. visual inspection, dimensional checks) •Maintain consistent weld quality in line with company procedures and industry standards (e.g. BS EN ISO 17637:2016 visual inspection) •Work across multiple fabrication tasks including structural frames, brackets, and hydraulic equipment assemblies •Carry out self-inspection and identify non-conformances, reporting issues where necessary •Ability to adapt quickly to changes in engineering drawings and production requirements driven by customer needs •Support continuous improvement. •Work collaboratively with design, stores and assembly teams to ensure smooth production flow •Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with HSE requirements •Ensure correct use and maintenance of tools, welding equipment and PPE •Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
