DBT Trustee – Richard Robinson

Director Richard Robinson has a long history of awards and achievements in the engineering industry from establishing the foundations of the current business in 1977 (see company history) to being awarded the title of Honorary Fellow by IAGrE in 2011.

His latest achievement is becoming a trustee of the Douglas Bomford Trust (DBT) in November 2018 where he has taken on a variety of responsibilities including mentoring of Scholars.

The aim of the trust is to:

"advance knowledge, understanding, practice, and competence in the application of engineering and technology to achieve sustainable agricultural, food and biological systems for the benefit of the environment and mankind"

Honorary Fellow – Richard Robinson

Richard Robinson, managing director of Autoguide, has been awarded the highest accolade of Honorary Fellow by IAgrE – the Institution of Agricultural Engineers. The award has been given for outstanding contribution to the agricultural engineering industry and to the institution.

He was presented with the award at the annual conference held at Cranfield University in May 2011, where more than 80 delegates congratulated Richard as he was presented with the award by IAgrE president, Peter Leech.

Richard has been a member of IAgrE since January 1970 and was also President from 2008 to 2010.

Richard is extremely happy at receiving this award and feels that it is for his contribution towards “making interesting and unique products!”
