Plantworx 2019

Autoguide Equipment and ABC Anchors are delighted to be exhibiting again at Plantworx this year from 11-13th June.

When we last exhibited in 2017, visitors were especially interested in our range of vibrating post installers. We previously demoed our Midi Postmaster, but this year we will also be demoing our Maxi Postmaster, which can install posts up to 10" diameter.

Excavator Mounted Powerheads – KJN Services

Autoguide first worked with KJN Services in 2015, when they bought from our range of Augers. We were pleased to hear from them again when Alastair got in contact requesting a new Powerhead and several augers.

After KJN received advice from our sales and technical team, we put together a quote for a Powerhead, augers and four specially manufactured swivels. To finalise his order, Alistair requested a visit to our premises. He was given a tour of the workshop by Rob and Megg, who worked closely with him throughout the order process. They showed him where and how his equipment would be made.

Autoguide supplied KJN with a 25H powerhead to suit a 3t excavator, complete with three new augers to enable the customer to auger different sized holes where required. Their excavator was fitted with a Quick Hitch, so in addition to the main order we needed to manufacture QH swivels with a two pin design to suit based on the specifications received from Alastair. We also converted the auger they originally bought from us in 2015 from a 65mm hex to 2" so that it was compatible with the new equipment.

We have dealt with Autoguide equipment for a number of years and had need for a smaller auger and drive head together with the ability to fit this and other drive units to different sizes of mini excavator.

Prices and details were requested and received however I was still unsure so arranged to visit your premises.

This proved to be a good move as I was able to speak to members of staff who understood what was required, showed me drawings of parts to be manufactured and also arranged to adapt an existing 9” auger to fit the new drive unit which also had the added benefit of reducing the overall cost of my order.

The items have now been with us for a few weeks and we are very pleased with the outcome, we now have the ability to supply a wider range than before to our customers.

Alastair, KJN Services

We hope to work with Alastair and KJN again in the future. They quickly sent through all the information we required were always keen to check in on progress.

Autoguide Equipment offer the complete solution for all earth drilling applications, from our comprehensive selection of augers, to our range of Excavator and Crane Mounted Powerheads.

If you need any more information after looking through our website or would like to place an order, please don't hesitate to contact us by phone or email.

Postmaster Custom Jaws – Country Works

Country Works first hired from our Postmaster range a year ago and since then, we have been able to assist them on a number of occasions.

Whether you want to try out the machine and see how it can work for you, or if your contracted fencing work is not yet regular enough to justify a purchase - hiring is an excellent option. The Postmaster range offers a safe, efficient and fast way to both install and remove fence posts.

In this instance, we recommended to Country Works a custom set of jaws to suit their specific requirements. The fencing they were installing was a rustic style post and rail, with the rails located before install of the posts. These can therefore be difficult to install, so the team here were set the challenge of finding a simple and cost effective solution.

Our design engineers created a set of jaws that clamped onto the post a maximum of 4" down, as this ensured the machine wouldn't interfere with the pre-located rails. Matt - our customer - was very happy with the result.

Plantworx 2017

Autoguide Equipment and ABC Anchors would like to thank all of those who joined us at the Plantworx Construction Equipment Show last week! We had some mixed weather conditions, but were delighted to see a high level of interest over all three days despite the sea of mud!

Visitors were especially interested in our range of vibrating post installers. Throughout the show, we were demoing our Midi Postmaster installing and removing 6” posts, although the machine is capable of driving up to 8” posts on a 3-5 tonne excavator.

Also displayed at the show was a variety of utilities equipment including our Utility Pole Grab, Cable Drum Spreader Bar and 40,000 PX Powerhead, as well as ABC Anchor’s range of screwpiles.

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to exhibiting at Plantworx again next time.

Autoguide Sponsor University of Bath Project

Autoguide Equipment recently sponsored a project at the University of Bath within the Mechanical Engineering Department. As part of the third year of study, students undertake a group design and business project to develop an idea, design a product and produce a business plan. Autoguide have had an idea for a small self-propelled machine that is capable of installing screw piles so proposed the idea and two teams of 6 students worked against each other to develop the best design.

The students recently presented their work at the Design Exhibition where we were very impressed with their work. The detailed design showed how much effort and work they had put into the project, with some very promising results. The design team now await the detailed reports to decide whether either design is feasible for production!

The Vibrating Post Driver Exhibiting in the USA

After several years of dealing with Seago International, our American Dealer, we have joined them to exhibit at the Fencetech Show Nashville (Stand Number 132)

The show has proven to be very busy with lots of interest surrounding the vibrating postmaster range. As seen on the stand we are exhibiting both the mini and midi postmaster on the BOB Cat. With an example of a 'swan neck bracket' for installing tall posts and a Rock Spike, used to penetrate hard ground, to save any damage to posts.
