Why use Autoguide Equipment’s design of earth drilling equipment?

Autoguide Equipment discovered many years ago that lorry mounted cranes typically have high pressure hydraulic systems, and due to the length of the boom and pipe work there is severe flow restriction on the crane, also torque levels need to be 50% higher than the same auger mounted on an excavator.

As a result, standard auger motors blow relief valves, generating heat, which is not dissipated by movement of the crane in the normal way. It is also not enough to fit an oil cooler as energy is being wasted and digging performance is poor.

Autoguide PXV Powerhead Series

The solution is the Autoguide PXV series of Powerheads. These are specially designed and developed variable speed motors which can cope with high pressure (up to 400bar) and yet work at near 100% efficiency to avoid unnecessary heating of the oil. Because of the speed ratio, free air speed is high, whilst massive torque is produced to drill even the toughest soils.
